Farid Farjad was born in Tehran in 1938. Upon receiving his masters degree in classical music from the Tehran Music Conservatory in 1966, he won the First Violin Seat in the Tehran Symphony Orchestra and was appointed to serve a tenure at the conservatory to teach classical violin. Farid's profound knowledge of Persian folk music and his gifted ability to draw on the highly advanced techniques of Western classical music has given life to an innovative style of violin performance in playing Persian music. In Ann Roozha albums, Farid, with his unique style, has recreated melodies which are reminiscent of sweet memories of the past. Violin: Farid Farjad FARİD FARJAD Eski bir Fars çalgısı olan Rebabın modern şekli olan kemana belki de tarihi bağları nedeniyle bu kadar melankolik bir anlam yükleyebilen FARID FARJAD İranlı bir keman virtüözü. Farid Farjad, 1938 yılında Tahran'da doğdu. 1966 yılında Tahran Müzik Konservatuar'ında klasik müzik üzerine master yaptı. Bundan sonraki dönemde Tahran Senfoni Orkestra'sında önemli görevler aldı. Fars Halk Müziği'nde çok derin bir birikime sahip olan Farjad, keman ile Batı Klasik Müziği üzerinde de çalışmalarda bulundu. Batı Klasik Müziği üzerindeki çalışmaları Fars müziğinin gelişiminde büyük öneme sahiptir. Şu anda dünya üzerindeki en iyi keman virtüözlerinden biri olan Farjad'ın An Roozha I, An Roozha II, An Roozha III, An Roozha IV olmak üzere dört albümlük albüm serisi yayımlandı. Ayrıca sanatçının Golha Orkestrası adlı kolektif bir albümde de eserleri yayımlandı.

Farid has dedicated his entire life to reforms in the Arab world. Farid's intimate knowledge of the people and politics of the region have been gained through firsthand experience. At the age of 17, Farid was arrested by the Syrian intelligence outside Damascus for civil disobedience. To this day, Farid is still pursued by Syrian intelligence, from this 1971 incident. At the age of 24, Farid was beaten with a cane by the Saudi religious police because he refused to pray in a mosque in Riyadh. Farid has testifies before the US Congress on extremism and freedom, and spoken at Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, (SAIS), among others, and before the European Parliament, and was the first Syrian to ever be invited to speak before the Israeli Knesset. He has written articles for many publications, such as The Washington Times, National Review and Jerusalem Post, with titles such as "Why I Admire Israel". After testifying before the Knesset, Farid's Syrian passport was permanently revoked.
