Ever since the first time I heard "I'm N Luv Wit a Stripper" by T-Pain, I knew that pretty much anyone with a basic knowledge of Apple's garageband could recreate this thing in less then about 5 minutes. Here's an example.
And for the record, I am not "hating" on T-Pain. I just think it's absolutely ridiculous how easy it is to create current popular music.

You may have heard that pepper spray was used on the first official night of the DNC, or that some protesters got arrested. The UpTake's Eli Linch went on a mission today to find out what happened and get the protester's side of the story. Are the charges levied on those arrested accurate? When did the tear gas come into the picture? Check out this side of the story.
Greg Spagnuolo – spokesperson and co-founder of the Recreate 68 Allaince says the police were getting out of hand and acting in a criminal nature
Protesters say they were blockaded. Police had been harassing people throughout the day in the park even though the people had a permit to be there.. The police drove them out of the park and then blocked them in an area where they pepper sprayed people and shoved people with their batons
Police report said the people who were arrested were throwing rocks at the police, obstruction and disobeying lawful orders. Several people told us they didn’t see anybody throw rocks at the police. There were no orders given by police. The minute protesters went into the streets they were hit with pepper spray and pepper bullets.
Another organizer told us “We have a permit for this park. So to me it’s the cops who disobeyed a lawful order to leave us the hell alone with our permit.
“They make these things up when they attack people so they can try and make charges stick, so they don’t wind up looking like the aggressor, which is what they were.”
Spagnulo says “It’s a shame that this had to happen. Everyone was acting non-violently. The police were itching for a fight since about 6 o’clock on. They were pushing people in the park shoving people around acting like a bunch of bullies and it didn’t need to happen this way. I don’t know who made the tactical call from the police department, but it was a piss-poor call because now everybody is all tense and motivated for more confrontation and that’s something we didn’t want and its something that the police are bringing down ...

boss fight: Edge VS Azel and her dragoon; Atolm.
EDITED:10/10/2006
ummm folks your comments just made me realized you just don't get me.... reason why this fight is a bit lame is because I wanted to recreate the scene back in 1998 Panzer Saga just got released and I got mine brand new still in shrink wrap, I certainly didn't have any internet back then. There was no FAQs, guides to tell you what to do... the video therefore is really someone (in this case.. me) back in 1998 having to learn about mistakes ourselves, experimenting and learning about the game so basically I really wanted to re-create my very first encounter with Atolm and figuring out what had to be done ¬__¬

○♥○Sweet Escape by Gwent Steffani ft. Akon○♥○
Lyrics:
Whohoe, whihoo
Whohoe, whihoo
Whohoe, whihoo
Whohoe, whihoo
If I could escape
I would, but first of all let me say
I must apologize for acting, stinking, treating you this way
Cause I've been acting like sour milk fell on the floor
It's your fault you didn't shut the refridgerator
Maybe that's the reason I've been acting so cold
If I could escape
And re-create a place as my own world
And I could be your favorite girl
Forever, perfectly together
Tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet?
If I could be sweet
I know I've been a real bad girl
I didn't mean for you to get hurt
Forever, we can make it better
Tell me boy, Now wouldn't that be sweet?
Sweet escape
(I wanna get away, to our sweet escape)
You let me down
I'm at my lowest boiling point
Come help me out
I need to get me out of this joint
Come on, let's bounce
Counting on you to turn me around
Instead of clowning around let's look for some common ground
So baby, times getting a little crazy
I've been getting a little lazy
Waiting for you to come save me
I can see that you're angry
By the way the you treat me
Hopefully you don't leave me
Want to take you with me
If I could escape
And re-create a place as my own world
And I could be your favorite girl
Forever, perfectly together
Tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet?
If I could be sweet
I know I've been a real bad girl
I didn't mean for you to get hurt
Forever, we can make it better
Tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet?
Sweet escape
Whohoe, whihoo
Whohoe, whihoo
Whohoe, whihoo
Whohoe, whihoo
If I could escape
Cause I've been acting like sour milk fell on the floor
It's your fault you didn't shut the refridgerator
Maybe that's the reason I've been acting so cold
If I could escape
And re-create a place in my own world
And I could be your favorite girl
Forever, perfectly together
Tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet?
If I could be sweet
I know I've been a real bad girl
I didn't mean for you to get hurt
Forever, we can make it better

Sweet escape

In upgrading to my newest version of Pinnacle STudio (from 10 to 11 Ultimate) I found I could no longer access any of the movies I had created with ver 10. Something that I think Pinnacle STudio needs to address. However, I had to re-create our adoption video, which was extremeley difficult (I have been working on doing so since early this summer). It was difficult not because the program is hard to learn (it is quite easy to use and fairly intuitive) but because there has been so little time to mess with my computer.
Anyway, I wanted to redo the video, and I have used some of Studio 11 Ultimate's new features. I'm really pleased with the results, and I have learned a lot more about video editing and using the program by taking some extra time to redo the video.
I use the same music, but have added different transitions, extra pictures and extra video clips. I don't know how it will compare to the other two - but I'm now going to have to recreate a lot of other videos at home (which - not to worry - I'm not going to reload them!) but it will cut down on the time I have for creating new stuff. I'll try to squeeze the new in here and there. But this video turned out so good (at least in my opinion) that I had to put it up on my channel.
Yeah, you could say I impressed myself. LOL! Not hard to do, though.

This piece was recorded March 2008 at Denton High School in Denton, TX, while I was the percussion instructor there.
This song is just plain flat-out awesomeness. If anybody has known me for the past 2 years, they know I'm an obsessive Guitar Hero player, and that's how I discovered this piece, Impulse, by two badass musicians who call themselves An Endless Sporadic. You can check them out on MySpace, but they haven't been signed or released an official album yet. One of them works for Neversoft, the drummer Andy, and he got their song in the game Guitar Hero 3 as a bonus song. Once I heard it, I knew I had to arrange it someday.
It was a challenge to get the marimbas and vibes to work in the original key, since some of the guitar parts are so low, but I don't like changing keys in my arrangements, so luckily we had two 5 octave marimbas and some mics to help on the low end. I gave my best shot at playing the crazy drumset part with a single bass drum pedal, but the real key was hiring the amazing Chris McQueen to play the guitar part. He plays with Oso Closo and Snarky Puppy (from Denton) and you should check them out too, they will rock your face off.
This piece was fun to do as a percussion ensemble because in the original they used ProTools and had already added all of the small percussion instruments you'll hear, so I didn't need to add anything. I did cut out an entire chunk of the piece in the middle, because it would have been impossible to recreate all the crazy distorted guitar effects with percussion in that section, and I also extended one part to allow Chris McQueen to take an improvised guitar solo.
Otherwise, like most of my arrangements, I tried to recreate the original piece as faithfully as possible in a percussion ensemble form, so I hope you like it! I think this is my best arrangement to date in terms of fun and excitement factor, because the source material was just so mind-blowing.
From Left to Right:
Joanna Ceja -(marimba)
Manuel Ortiz -(bells/percussion)
Charlie Tucker -(chimes/percussion)
Bobby Jacobs - (marimba)
Brandon Arthur -(electric bass)
Sean Redman -(me on drumset)
Chris McQueen -(guest artist on electric guitar)
Cody Goble -(marimba)
Christina Burch -(vibes)
Austin Ford -(vibes)
Charles Crouch -(vibes)
Ryan Klinck -(vibes)

Daft Punk's Alive 2007 set recreated with Ableton Live at home, done live.
Pt. 1: Robot Rock, Human, Oh Yeah
HOW IS IT DONE?
Daft Punk uses Ableton Live as the center of the Alive show. I started playing with the program about a year ago. For fun, I thought it would be a challenge to try and recreate the section with Technologic mixed with Voyager, and I was amazed how simple it was -- just a looped portion of Voyager over a more or less straight rendition of Technologic, with beat repeat and added percussion. I created more and more of it, doing the Robot Rock part that segues into Technologic, until I got all the way to One More Time.
The incredible thing about it is that 90% of it is done with tracks off of Daft Punk CDs you can buy anywhere. The manipulation is done with Ableton - autopans, EQs, beat repeats, filters, all sort of effects are used to distort the CD versions. I had to find some acapellas and be clever about certain things (for example, the "Fuck it" segment) , but most of it is quite straight forward. I've learned that with Daft Punk, if something sounds complicated, it's probably not -- it's just a clever rehashing of something else. For example, the twangy sound after the "Fuck it" segment with the "Touch it bring it pay it" sample is the first bar of Television Rules The Nation put through an enveloped Auto Filter and an Auto pan. That simple. This took a lot of trial and error to figure out.
I suspect that the reason it doesn't sound exactly like the actual set in all cases is that some of it is being done with the Moogs. I don't have access to those, but I imagine they add lots of filtering possibilities and of course for the parts with actual synthesis, that analog sound is hard to beat (I just used the sampler in Ableton.)
Enjoy!
