    I remember that 3 Dog Night came out with this song BEFORE Elton's version came out (at least on the West Coast). I got used to it (and liked it) but then this "new guy" Elton John came out with HIS version. I didn't like it as well though. (little did we know back then that EJ's version was the one that was going to be remembered. It's interesting though, as soon as EJs version came out, 3 Dogs was STOPPED and played no more....maybe a suit was threatened?
